Memorials at Sea will help you plan a respectful memorial and scattering of ashes ceremony. We have a fleet of six boats/yachts, from 18', 31', 40', 44', 53' and 55', which will accommodate 2 to 12 guests, departing from Marina del Rey to all points in Santa Monica Bay. We can help make your memorial on the water a lasting experience for you and for your guests. Do you need something special? Just ask.

History

We started Memorials at Sea after I had been a yacht charter captain for some years, and noticed that there was an increasing demand for yacht charters specifically for witnessed scattering of ashes. I found I could create a safe and secure floating venue to create an unforgettable memorial and scattering of ashes experience.

Departing from Marina del Rey, CA, we are able to take guests all around Santa Monica Bay, from Malibu through Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica, Venice, and the Bay Cities to Palos Verdes Peninsula.

Meet the Business Owner

Captain Darryl

Captain Darryl Aken holds a 100 Ton Masters Certificate from the U.S. Coast Guard, and has had over 40 years' experience operating boats from 55 feet to 18 feet in the Pacific Ocean from Vancouver Island , Canada to Los Cabos, Mexico, and Many Points in Between.

That, plus 10 years in the event industry makes Capt. Darryl well qualified to run Memorials at Sea.
